Skin and Bones

Not skinny enough? Still fat? It doesn't matter what size or shape you have. Beauty shouldn't be judged because of your appearance. Screw society! I don't care whether you're black or white, You are beautiful

Look at the picture. Just look. Don't say anything else. Are you happy because you called that girl fat? That girl didn't eat for weeks so she could please society, so she wouldn't be judged. But doing what society wanted her to do didn't change a thing. Instead of being labeled fat she got the label of an Anorexic girl. Anorexia is not a condition to be joked about or be laughed at, so are people with Eating Disorders or Bulimia.

Thigh gaps? A flat stomach? Hip Bones? Collar Bones?
Who cares if you don't have those? Nobody. Society doesn't even care whether you're fat or skinny. Society points out your imperfections but they won't care what happens to you. You are what you are. Do what you want and be who you want to be even if  people won't like you or disapprove of you. If you think that is what's right then go for it. Don't let those judgments bring you down. Don't think too much. Be selfless but don't be too selfless. Stop being such a people pleaser. Your happiness is not theirs, it's yours. If you want to eat, then go eat. Don't let those prying eyes and those imperfection obsessed mouths get to you. Be you.

C'est la vie

Suicide

"Suicide does not end the chances of Life getting worse. Suicide eliminates the possibility of it ever getting better."

The Photograph

I've lived with demons since that moment I recognized life.
They no longer hid under my bed for they are now living inside my head. They've succeeded countless times and the fear in me grew. They've outweighed my life with pessimism and I can no longer feel secured and protected. They're like hands reaching out, even though I pull away their grips tighten and it pulls me harder down with them.

The photographer of this picture committed suicide after his High School Exams.
May he Rest In Paradise.

Vans Warped Tour 2013

A Warped Tour is a touring music and extreme sports festival. The tour is held in venues such as parking lots or fields upon which the stages and other structures are erected. The skateboard shoe manufacturer Vans, among others, has sponsored the tour every year since 1995, and it is often referred to as the Vans Warped Tour. The tour started out as a showcase for punk rock music, but its more recent line-ups have featured a diversity of genres.

The VANS WARPED TOUR 2013 will be bringing the "Best Day Ever" to fans across the U.S and Canada. This summer's diverse tour line-up will feature Sleeping With Sirens, We Came As Romans, Motion City Soundtrack, The Wonder Years, Bring Me The Horizon, Reel Big Fish, Crown The Empire, The Story So Far and many more. In addition, festival go-ers will experience an expanded Acoustic Basement, which features established and up-and-coming acoustic artists, such as William Beckett, Allison Weiss and The American Scene. In keeping with this year's tour theme, "Best Day Ever," the Vans Warped Tour will be a music lover's playground with artists from all genres: rock, punk, pop, hip-hop, folk-punk and reggae.

Zeus! I wish I could go.

Death do us part

"Till death do Us part."
Do you notice how it’s blurry at the beginning and suddenly sharpens at the end?
When it’s blurry, it’s because when you’re in love, you supposedly don’t see anything other than the person you love.
And when it sharpens, it’s because the world has come back into focus now that their loved one is gone.

The Letter

I found this letter on my Tumblr dashboard.

Dear Cutie-Pie,

Recently, your mother and I were searching for an answer on Google. Halfway through entering the question, Google returned a list of the most popular searches in the world. Perched at the top of the list was “How to keep him interested.”
It startled me. I scanned several of the countless articles about how to be sexy and sexual, when to bring him a beer versus a sandwich, and the ways to make him feel smart and superior.

And I got angry.

Little One, it is not, has never been, and never will be your job to “keep him interested.”

Little One, your only task is to know deeply in your soul—in that unshakeable place that isn’t rattled by rejection and loss and ego—that you are worthy of interest. (If you can remember that everyone else is worthy of interest also, the battle of your life will be mostly won. But that is a letter for another day.)
If you can trust your worth in this way, you will be attractive in the most important sense of the word: you will attract a boy who is both capable of interest and who wants to spend his one life investing all of his interest in you.

Little One, I want to tell you about the boy who doesn't need to be kept interested, because he knows you are interesting:

I don’t care if he puts his elbows on the dinner table—as long as he puts his eyes on the way your nose scrunches when you smile. And then can’t stop looking.
I don’t care if he can’t play a bit of golf with me—as long as he can play with the children you give him and revel in all the glorious and frustrating ways they are just like you.
I don’t care if he doesn’t follow his wallet—as long as he follows his heart and it always leads him back to you.
I don’t care if he is strong—as long as he gives you the space to exercise the strength that is in your heart.
I couldn’t care less how he votes—as long as he wakes up every morning and daily elects you to a place of honor in your home and a place of reverence in his heart.
I don’t care about the color of his skin—as long as he paints the canvas of your lives with brushstrokes of patience, and sacrifice, and vulnerability, and tenderness.
I don’t care if he was raised in this religion or that religion or no religion—as long as he was raised to value the sacred and to know every moment of life, and every moment of life with you, is deeply sacred.
In the end, Little One, if you stumble across a man like that and he and I have nothing else in common, we will have the most important thing in common:
You.

Because in the end, Little One, the only thing you should have to do to “keep him interested” is to be you.

Your eternally interested guy,
Daddy

Perfection and Society

"Society today has an unnatural obsession with perfection. Everything from looks to finances to our actions has to be perfect. When others reveal our flaws we have to pick and prod at them. Its not healthy."

Beauty, for example. Women cake their faces with make-up just to hide their imperfections and flaws. They destroy their skin cells just so they could be "youthful". They fry their hair so it would look perfect.

Teenage girls these days would fuss over lose skin and stretch marks and so. They'd become anorexic or bulimic just because they are not skinny enough.

Mad

"We all go a little mad sometimes."
Indeed we do and it scares me.
